Barbados Royals got off to a disappointing start in the Caribbean Premier League 2023, as they clashed against Saint Lucia Kings on August 18, Thursday. Royals’ batter Rahkeem Cornwall was hilariously dismissed on a duck. The team came to chase 202 runs, but the opener was sent off back to the pavilion on a duck. The game concluded with the Cornwall's side losing their season opener by a margin of 54 runs.

Cornwall was facing Matthew Forde, and he flicked the first ball which went to Chris Sole at short fine-leg. Following it, the Barbados opener casually started to jog through the wickets. Sole, on the other hand, got plenty of time to gather himself after a fumble, and he managed to throw a direct hit at the wickets.
