Rinku Singh, the star batter for Kolkata Knight Riders, looked overjoyed on camera after receiving a new bat as a gift from the former India captain, Virat Kohli. This is the second bat that Rinku Singh has gotten from Virat Kohli after breaking the previous one while practising in the nets against the spinner during the IPL 2024.
Notably, a video had gone viral in the build-up to the Kolkata Knight Riders versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru clash in the IPL 2024, wherein Rinku Singh was spotted telling Virat Kohli about breaking his bat in a practice session before asking him for a new bat. After the end of the match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which saw KKR defeat RCB by one run, Rinku once again approached Virat for a new bat, and this time, his request wasn’t denied.
In the new viral video posted by KKR on X, a fan approached Rinku Singh, asking, “'Rinku bhai, bat mila? (Rinku bhai, did you receive the bat?” In response, he said, “Mil gaya (Received it),” with a massive glee on his face. The KKR batter also showed off his newly gifted bat from Virat Kohli to the fans, who were just as happy as he was.

Moreover, Kolkata Knight Riders have made a great start to their IPL 2024 campaign, winning five out of the first seven matches of the season, to find themselves in the top half of the points table. Despite the limited opportunities to bat for KKR in the ongoing tournament, Rinku Singh has scored 107 runs at a strike rate of 159.70.
In their next match on Friday, April 26, Kolkata Knight Riders will be playing against Punjab Kings at home in Eden Gardens, Kolkata, aiming to keep their winning momentum going in the IPL 2024.
