Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh smashed five sixes in the final over to beat Gujarat Titans by three wickets. KKR needed 29 runs in the final over and Singh was brought on the strike after Umesh Yadav's single. Here, Rinku Singh came forward and smashed five consecutive sixes in Yash Dayal's over.

As Rinku Singh hit his fifth and final six, KKR captain Nitish Rana ran out into the middle to celebrate this historic win. Singh ended this game at a score of 48* in 21 balls which included six sixes and one four.

Talking about the game, the first innings saw an incredible 63-run knock by Vijay Shankar, helping the defending champions post 204 runs. Then for KKR, Venkatesh Iyer set the stage for the chase as he smashed a clinical 83 in 40 balls with eight fours and five sixes.
After Iyer 's wicket, the two-time champions were in trouble as GT captain Rashid Khan picked up a hattrick in the seventh over. After this stunning bowling effort, Rinku Singh pulled off the impossible to help KKR script a historic win
Reacting to this win, Rinku Singh said, "Had the belief that I can do it. Last year I was in a similar situation in Lucknow. Had the belief back then too. Didn't think too much out there. Those shots just happened one after the other. That last one was back of the hand, and I struck it off the back foot."
