Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant shared a light-hearted moment with the former Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist after the end of the second BGT Test between Australia and India in Adelaide. As Gilchrist was in the middle of an interview after Australia’s 10-wicket win at the Adelaide Oval, Pant sneaked him from behind and covered his eyes, leaving the former cricketer off-guard.

However, it didn’t take much time for Adam Gilchrist to turn around, to see the prankster Rishabh Pant as he quickly broke into a smile, and shared a warm hug with the Indian wicket-keeper. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri, who was a part of Fox Cricket commentary alongside Adam Gilchrist, also reacted to the heartwarming gesture between the two, and called it a “wicket-keepers reunion". Later, Gilchrist also admitted that he was pleasantly surprised by Pant’s antics.

Australia thrash India by 10 wickets in second Test to level BGT series 1-1

Talking about the second BGT Test match, Australia continued their domination in pink-ball Test matches in Adelaide, and registered a massive comeback win in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) after losing the first match by 295 runs in Perth. After taking a lead of 157 runs in the first innings, powered by Travis Head’s fiery 140-run, Australia also dominated India with the ball as the visitors were bowled out for 175 runs in the second innings, setting a target of just 19 runs for Australia to win.

Australian skipper Pat Cummins led from the front with his match-winning bowling figures of 5/57 in the second innings, to ensure that they were all over India in the contest. Apart from that, Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc scalped three and two wickets respectively. After that, Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney finished the job in just 3.2 overs as Australia clinched a commanding victory by 10 wickets in Adelaide, to level the five-match series 1-1, with three matches to go.
