After restricting the visitors,  New Zealand to 402  early in the second session of the ongoing  first Test  at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, it was again time for Team India to take the crease. Earlier in the match, Rohit Sharma-led Team India won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the side had a forgettable day in the middle as they were bundled out for a mere 46 runs, their lowest total in Tests at home.

In return, Tom Latham-led New Zealand took a considerable lead on Day 2 of the ongoing Test and eventually recorded a 356-run lead. While Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets, Siraj went for two whereas R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah also found themselves among the wickets.

Rohit Sharma left in disbelief after bizarre dismissal; reaction goes viral

As the Men in Blue took the guards, Yashasvi Jaiswal departed early, scoring just 35 runs off 52 deliveries. However, skipper Rohit Sharma looked in good knick, but his stay was also cut short as he was dismissed in a bizarre manner. Sharma, who scored a 63-ball 52, with his knock consisting of eight boundaries and one six, fell off Ajaz Patel’s brilliant delivery.

Ajaz Patel opted to bowl a length delivery in the 22nd over which skidded through a touch straighter and ran into to hit the stumps. Soon afterwards, Rohit, who watched the ball dislodge the bails, just stood still in silence with his head hung down in disbelief, video of which has been making rounds on social media.
