England's red-ball captain Ben Stokes and his team summed up their inning on Day 4 by losing the second Test against Pakistan in Multan on Friday, October 18. However, one incident that caught everyone's attention was the comic dismissal of Ben Stokes, who returned after recovering from a hamstring injury. While chasing the target of 297 runs, Ben Stokes was having a good inning, scoring 37 off 36 balls, but his innings ended up abruptly, or rather in a comic way.
While facing left-arm spinner Noman Ali, Ben Stokes charged down the pitch to attempt a shot but lost the grip of his bat, resulting in easy stumping by Mohammad Rizwan. He miscalculated the shot altogether, losing control of his bat, which flew a long way on the ground. If this wasn't enough, he even lost his balance on the ground watching his dismissal.

Pakistan register a strong comeback against England
After the humiliating defeat in the first Test against England, where they declared their innings by 837-7, it was Pakistan’s sixth consecutive defeat in Test cricket. But in the second Test, the Shan Masood-led side heavily relied on spinners. Both Noman Ali and Sajid Khan proved their skills, leaving England in a scramble.
With the historic 11-wicket haul first time in his career, Noman Ali proved to be the best replacement. He finished his innings with an impressive figure of 8/46. This Test victory against England also marked Pakistan's first home Test win in three years.
