Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah revealed India’s success mantra for the elite Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Bumrah is likely to lead the Indian side in the forthcoming tournament as skipper Rohit Sharma would be unavailable for the first match due to the birth of his son. The first match of the series will begin on November 22 in Perth. The defending champions are coming on the back of a 0-3 loss to New Zealand.

Ahead of the series opener, Bumrah revealed team India’s success mantra in the tournament and revealed that it is all about ‘self-belief’. The pacer told 7Cricket, 'Self-belief matters the most in any condition. That is what we are banking on and that is the conversation we are having in our team. When you focus on yourself and focus on your preparation, then that puts you in a great position and everything else will take care of itself”.

Any format of the game, he’s incredible: Travis Head lauds Jasprit Bumrah

Ahead of the series opener, Australian opener Travis Head heaped praise on Jasprit Bumrah and called him “incredible”. He told Fox Cricket, “Impossible (facing Bumrah). You try to feel like you’re one step ahead, but it always feels like he’s that next step. Any format of the game, he’s incredible. He’s their X-factor, he’s the guy they go to every time, and more often than not, he’s able to produce for them. You’ve got your work cut out as a batter. He’s someone that’s going to be difficult over the summer.”
