Roman Reigns made an appearance in the main-event of the latest edition of SmackDown on FOX, to celebrate his 1000-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on June 3 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Triple H, the Chief Content Officer of the company, kicked off the segment and praised the 38-year-old as a generational athlete, comparing him with the likes of Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan.

The Game, then, went on to present the brand-new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to The Tribal Chief, who was side by side with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman at the Mohegan Sun Arena. This championship is going to replace the two titles that Roman Reigns has been carrying along for more than a year, after unifying the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38 by defeating Brock Lesnar.

The design of the brand-new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is quite similar to its two predecessor titles, but it has a heavy gold motif instead of black and blue. The reactions to the unveiling of the championship have been mixed, as has been the case with most new title reveals in WWE in recent times.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns is currently in the midst of a massive friction in The Bloodline. The Usos finally betrayed The Tribal Chief at the Night of Champions PLE in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27. It was the two kicks to the head from Jimmy to Roman at the Jeddah Superdome, heard around the world, which finally began the collapse of the family.

The saga of 'The Bloodline' continued on this past SmackDown, when the undisputed champion unleashed Solo Sikoa on Jimmy Uso after seemingly making up with him.
