Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday, November 16 defied age and produced a brilliant bicycle kick goal to help Portugal register a comfortable 5-1 win over Poland in their UEFA Nations League match at the Estadio do Drago in Porto. Ronaldo, who has time and again proved that age is just a number, produced two goals, one being the bicycle kick goal.
The legendary footballer scored two goals, combined by goals from Rafa Leao, Bruno Fernandes and Pedro Neto to help the team enter the quarter-finals of the competetion. In the 87th minute of the match, the 39-year-old hit a stunning overhead kick highlighting Portugal’s dominance over Poland. However, Poland scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute of the match, but that wasn’t enough to defy Portugal’s win.

The moment of magic from Ronaldo came in the 87th minute with an overhead kick to pile up the misery on Poland. Vinitha ran through the right win and sent a looping cross for the legend, who was standing unmarked in front of the goal. Instead of touching or scoring a volley, Ronaldo jumped in a position to send the ball into the net.
Ronaldo surpasses Diego Maradona for scoring more goals after turning 35
The Portugal legend’s two goals marked his 134th and 135th goals in international football. He has now scored 135 goals across all competitions (114 goals without penalties) and also has most wins in international football (132). The 39-year-old also surpassed Maradona for more goals after turning 35 that the Argentina legend scored in his entire career.
Hailed as one of the greats in football, Maradona scored 34 goals for Argentina in his 91 appearances from 1977 to 1994. Ronaldo, who will turn 40 next year, has scored 35 goals since he turned 35.
