Los Angeles Lakers Point Guard Russell Westbrook has been the target of a lot of criticism ever since moving to LA last season. The former MVP has been playing like his former self and hence has been called out by NBA experts, former players and fans on the regular basis. But after the Lakers' recent fixture against cross-town rivals, the Clippers, one fan went out of his way to criticise Westbrook.

As the players were entering their dressing rooms, one fan yelled “Westbrook you suck a**,” at the former Oklahoma City player. Listening to this, Westbrook came back out and confronted the fan. Seeing the player addressing him, the fan quickly changed his tune and responded, “C’mon baby, we need you.”

Despite this type of criticism being uncalled for, Westbrook has really been struggling to find his rhythm on the court. The UCLA graduate had a 0-11 shooting night against the Clippers and ended up with just two points in the Crypto.com Arena. But he has the support of the Lakers locker room, with LeBron James backing him after the rough outing.

“We’ve all had bad shooting nights. Everybody in this league has had bad shooting nights,” James said. “Who cares. I thought he played a great game. Defensively he was in tune, he pushed the tempo. He didn’t make any shots and that’s OK. He had five steals and two back-to-back in a critical time when they were trying to post him against Kawhi. He didn’t make any shots and that’s fine.”
