After having surgery on his left knee last week in Mumbai, former India captain and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star MS Dhoni is doing well. Recently, when asked about it by supporters at an event, his wife Sakshi Dhoni confirmed.
MS Dhoni played the entire IPL 2023 season with a knee injury while captaining CSK to a record-tying fifth championship. Throughout the competition, he had a lot of strapping on his left knee and frequently batted lower in the order. He also suggested that he might play in the IPL for one more season before retiring.
However, a few days after the IPL, Dhoni underwent a minimally invasive technique called keyhole surgery, which enables the surgeon to see and fix joint issues using a tiny tool called an arthroscope. Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, a well-known sports orthopaedic surgeon who has worked on various Indian athletes, including Neeraj Chopra and Rishabh Pant, conducted the procedure.
