Cricketing fans across the country got to witness an action-packed encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday, where the former defeated the hosts by three runs. While MS Dhoni tried his best to lead the team to victory, it was Royals’ Sandeep Sharma who didn’t let Chennai’s dreams become a reality and his newborn appeared to enjoy the 29-year-old's heroics.

Sandeep Sharma, who wasn't picked initially in the auctions and replaced Prasidh Krishna in the RR squad, is being hailed by the cricket fraternity and fans across the world, as he defended 21 runs in the final over after conceding 14 runs in the first three deliveries. However, he has a special fan, who cheered for him during the match, while the man led his team to mark his team's first win at the Chepauk Stadium since 2008.
A video has gone viral on social media where Sandeep Sharma’s newborn daughter could be seen cheering for her daddy. After the match, Sharma’s wife posted a video of her and their 10-month-old daughter watching him in action and cheering for him. The clip was captioned “When she sees her daddy on TV. Daddy’s girl." Sandeep reposted the video with a red heart emoji.

Speaking of the game, MS Dhoni hit back-to-back sixes on two of Sandeep’s deliveries in the final over. However, Sharma showed nerves of steel and didn’t concede any more boundaries in the remaining balls, defending seven runs on the last three balls. Dhoni had won the toss and invited their guests to bat first. Rajasthan, in return, posted a score of 175/8, which the Super Kings failed to achieve by three runs.
