Sanju Samson did not have the best time in the first T20I against Sri Lanka as the batter got out cheaply and then dropped an easy catch. In the very first over of Sri Lanka’s innings, Samson dropped Pathum Nissanka’s catch and gave the batter a reprieve. And clearly, India captain Hardik Pandya was not happy with Samson’s effort in the middle. Pandya looked irritated as he gave Samson a stare after the fielder dropped the catch.
On the second ball of the first over, Pandya bowled a beautiful delivery which straightened up a bit after pitching. The batter, who was playing for inswing, got squared up and managed an outside edge. Resultantly, the ball ballooned up and Samson had ample time to take the catch. However, the fielder went for a dive instead and got hold of the ball. But it popped out of his hands when his elbows hit the ground.
Samson had a wry smile on his face while he was lying on the ground. Meanwhile, Pandya looked upset as he gave Samson a silent stare.
