Columbian pop star Shakira has created a stir on social media after sharing a video of herself lip-syncing to a rap song related to fast cars. Based on this song, the rumour mill restarted with speculations about her relationship with seven-time Formula 1 champion and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. The pair are rumoured to be dating after being spotted dining on a boat during the Miami Grand Prix weekend this year.

Since the ‘Waka Waka’ singer has made appearances at various races of the 2023 F1 season, including the British Grand Prix at the legendary Silverstone in Northamptonshire. Earlier in the season, Shakira and Hamilton were at dinner with a group which included musician Mustafa the Poet and Kendall Jenner’s pal Fai Khadra Kendal Jenner in Barcelona after the Spanish Grand Prix. 

Coming back to Shakira’s recent Instagram post, the 'Hips Don't Lie' star was spotted lip-syncing to the song 'Sprinter' by Dave & Central Cee. In the clip, the Columbian mimics a line that goes, "They won't fit in one SUV (nah), S-O-S somebody rescue me.”

Addressing these rumours, journalist Jordi Martin revealed how the pair share a great friendship.  She said, "I would like to deny any information that has come out in a Catalan newspaper, where they say that Hamilton is tired of Shakira's attitude. I can categorically deny this information because I have spoken to Shakira's entourage and they confirm that between Shakira and Hamilton, there has always been a beautiful friendship."

“And that, between them there has been something more than friendship. The two knew very clearly that there was nothing serious and that there was total freedom between them to do whatever they wanted," she added.
