American NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal got jokingly smacked on the head during the NBA In-Season Tournament semi-finals. O’Neal was welcomed at the east semifinals of the tournament played between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, December 7 (IST). The high-octane clash saw the presence of several notable figures from the NBA fraternity, including Julius "Dr. J" Erving and LaMarcus Aldridge.
The notable NBA names received a warm welcome from the league as they got featured on the Jumbotron. They were greeted by applause from fans as they waved towards the fans. While getting featured on the Jumbotron, Shaquille waved to his fans during his turn. However, to everyone’s surprise, the four-time NBA champion was smacked on the back of his head.

The former Lakers icon couldn’t help but start laughing. The camera panned out to expose the culprit, which revealed that the real suspect was Shaq’s son Shareef. Both father and son started to laugh while the camera exposed the culprit. Talking about the west semifinals, it was played between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers beat their counterparts to advance to the final clash of the tournament.
Coming back to Shaquille, the 51-year-old named Milwaukee Bucks as the title favourites. He said, “This team right here is my favorite to win the championship. This team is built for championships. You have a great big man. You have a great closer — a guy who is a great free-throw shooter — and you have two others who can give you a high point games in (Khris) Middleton and (Brook) Lopez.”
