Mitchell Santner, who has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings in this season of the Indian Premier League, isn’t going through the best phase of his career. The New Zealand International has only featured in three of the seven games played by the team and hasn’t been able to make his presence in all those matches. His compatriot and commentator, Simon Doull mocked Santner and received a fitting reply from the all-rounder.
The out-of-the-from left-arm spinner has accounted for only three dismissals in all three games that he has played for the Chennai Super Kings this year.
Santer has already been feeling very disappointed with his performance in the season so far and is looking to make a solid comeback in the rest of the tournament. Meanwhile, New Zealand commentator Simon Doull, who is known for his brutal remarks on players has made an insensitive comment about the CSK player. Simon spoke to Santner after the CSK vs KKR game, and during the conversation told him, “Enjoy the night and carry the drinks well.”
However, the New Zealand player was quick to come up with a humorous response and replied by saying, “I’ll try, I’ll try”.

Though it seemed to be a friendly conversation between both, the CSK fans haven’t taken it well. They feel that Doull shouldn’t have said it, as it could emotionally hurt the cricketer in the first place. Notably, Chennai Super Kings who defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in their last clash by a margin of 49 runs sit on the top of the points table. They will now go head-to-head with the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
