Sourav Ganguly, the former India captain, celebrated his 51st birthday at home with his family on July 8, Saturday. The Prince of Kolkata cut a cake on the auspicious occasion while being accompanied by his wife Dona Ganguly and daughter Sana Ganguly.

During his illustrious 16-year international career, Ganguly played 113 Tests for India, scoring 7212 runs at an average of 42.17, including 16 hundreds. In the one-day international format, the 51-year-old was involved in 311 matches, putting together 11363 runs at an average of 41.02 with 22 centuries.

As captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly led India in 49 Test matches, winning 21 and losing 13 of those. While in the ODIs, he skipped the country in 146 matches, achieving victory 76 times and getting defeated 65 times.

Rev Sportz, the sports media company based in Kolkata, posted the video of the Prince of Kolkata’s birthday on their Twitter account. They captioned it, “Scenes from Dada’s birthday celebration at his home!! #HappyBirthdayDADA #Sourav Ganguly”.

The Prince of Kolkata launches “Sourav Ganguly Masterclass” app on his 51st birthday

As part of his 51st birthday celebration, the Prince of Kolkata launched an app called “Sourav Ganguly Masterclass,” to teach leadership skills. He sent out a tweet on his official Twitter account to reveal the details about the online course which read, “16+ years of international cricket and countless matches later… on this 51st bday, I sum up my learnings for you. They are now yours! Announcing “Sourav Ganguly Masterclass”, an app that has my first-ever online course on leadership - _klr.bz/lG5Jc/”.

“Thanks to @ClassplusApps & team for the tech support in making this happen in such a short notice. You guys have always been a family. Classplus & I, together, will be donating all the proceeds from this course for the education of underprivileged,” his tweet further read.
