India and Sri Lanka played the final ODI of the three-match series on Sunday at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The Men in Blue comprehensively beat Sri Lanka by a massive 373 runs to clinch the series 3-0. It was a dominant show for the Rohit Sharma-led team as they registered the biggest win in the history of ODI cricket.

After scoring a mammoth 390/5 on the back of centuries from Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, India bundled Sri Lanka for 73 as the visitors looked clueless in the chase. Mohammed Siraj did the most damage with the ball in hand as the pacer bagged four wickets in his ten overs. Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav also scalped two wickets each. India were good in the field too as the likes of Axar Patel and Suryakumar Yadav made a couple of good saves.

Apart from stopping the ball from going to the boundary, Surya also floored fans with his gesture during Sri Lanka’s innings. Yadav gave a beautiful answer to a fan’s question about local Indian cricketer Sanju Samson. As Surya was fielding in the deep, a fan shouted “Where is Sanju?”. With so much noise around, Surya did not hear the question clearly. So, he gestured to the fan to repeat it.

And when the fan repeated the question, SKY immediately put his palms together, making a heart sign and pointed to his chest.

Coming to the game, it was a perfect game for India. While they put on a run-fest with the bat, the Men in Blue gave no chance to their opponents with the ball. Virat Kohli once again starred for the team as he scored his 46th ODI century. Kohli scored an unbeaten 166* off just 110 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and eight sixes. Shubman Gill, meanwhile, scored 116 from 97 balls.
