Sweden's best football player of all-time Zlatan Ibrahimovic received a heartfelt farewell from the national team and Swedish fans after their friendly clash against Serbia on Saturday. Despite Sweden losing the game against Serbia 3-0 in front of their home crowd at the Friends Arena, the fans stayed in the stands to celebrate the 42-year-old's journey.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the all-time leading goal scorer for Sweden with 62 goals in 122 appearances followed by Sven Rydell with 49 goals. After Euro 2016, Zlatan retired from international football, however, he returned for Sweden’s failed World Cup qualifying campaign in 2021.
In the international friendly between Sweden and Serbia on Saturday, the visitors clinched the victory by a 3-0 score. The Al-Hilal duo of Serge Milinkovc-Savic and Aleksandar Mitrovic found the back of the net in 18th and 60th minute respectively while Dusan Tadic, who plays for Fenerbahce in Turkey, scored the final goal in the 70th minute.
Despite a disappointing home loss, the Swedish fans kept sitting on their seats to gave a heartfelt farewell to Zlatan for the first time since his retirement announcement. In a video posted on social media, Zlatan can be seen walking out on the pitch through a guard of honour from the Sweden national team and management.

Zlatan was presented with a No.122 jersey depicting the matches he played for Sweden national team. After receiving a loud tribute, just like his AC Milan farewell, the 42-year-old got emotional and said, " You are welcome Sweden, I love you."
