Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain, engaged in a hilarious banter with his New Zealand counterpart Tim Southee on the second day of the second Test match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. A video of the bromance between two of the best cricketers of their generation has gone viral on the social media platform X, and the fans have taken up to it really well, with most of them laughing out loud in the comments section.

During the ongoing Pune Test match, New Zealand are in complete control of the situation, but it didn’t stop Virat Kohli from seeing the funny side of things in the pavilion area at the expense of Tim Southee while crossing paths with each other. After getting bundled out on day one for 259 runs, New Zealand bowled exceptionally earlier today, dismissing India for just 156 runs as Mitchell Santner picked up a seven-wicket haul, dismissing Virat Kohli for a single digit score.

New Zealand dominating India in second Test in Pune; taking massive 257-run lead

In their second innings, New Zealand have reached 154/4 in their second innings after 36 overs, taking a massive lead of 257 runs on a pitch at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Tom Latham and Tom Blundell are at the crease for the Black Caps, aiming to extend the lead beyond 300 runs, and with that, they could put themselves in a great position to win a Test series in India for the first-time ever in history.

If India ended up losing the Test series against New Zealand at home, then India’s passage to the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final next year could get increasingly difficult. They are slated to play a very daunting five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test series against Australia down under, starting on November 22 onwards.
