The Men in Blue invited Nepal to bat first in their Group A fixture on Monday, September 4 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Just when Nepal looked good in the middle after the opening pair took the side over 50-run mark inside the powerplay, the Men in Blue were taken under scanners for their misfielding.

However, the Indian bowling attack took a step to dismiss the Nepal opener Kushal Bhurtel at the score of 38 off 25 deliveries and Bhim Sharki, giving a sigh of relief to the side. Amidst the match going smoothly in Pallekele so far, Indian stalwart Virat Kohli was seen grooving to a Nepali song.

This incident took place after the 14th  over just when the batters changed strike and Shardul Thakur was called into the attack by Sharma.

Kohli, Iyer and Ishan drop easy catch

After a below-par batting performance by the Indian side against Pakistan, they had an off outing early in the innings on Monday against Nepal. After the Men in Blue took the field, they dropped three easy catches in the powerplay. It all started with Shreyas Iyer dropping a tricky catch of Kushal Bhurtel in the opening over itself.

It was then in the next over that Virat Kohli dropped a sitter as he fumbled, followed by Ishan Kishan leaving an easy one behind the wickets.
