After Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a comfortable 60-run win over Punjab Kings in IPL 2024, Virat Kohli had a beautiful interaction with the families of Harpreet Brar and Arshdeep Singh. At the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala, RCB and PBKS were in a must-win clash, which the visitors won, to keep their IPL playoff hopes alive.

For the unversed, the captain of Punjab Kings, Sam Curran, decided to field first after winning the toss. Although Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost the wickets of the captain Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks in quick succession in the powerplay, Virat Kohli kept the momentum going for the team.

The former RCB captain was involved in two quality partnerships with Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green, scoring 92 off 47 with seven fours and six maximums. His innings was the catalyst for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in posting 241/7 on the board in their allotted overs.

In the run chase, Riley Rossouw and Shashank Singh played enterprising innings for Punjab Kings, but following their dismissals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru grabbed control of the match. They managed to bowl out PBKS for just 181 runs in 17 overs, securing a big win in the process.

Punjab Kings took to their official X account to share a video of Harpreet Brar and Arshdeep Singh’s families meeting up with Virat Kohli. They captioned the post, “How many times have you watched this reel? Admin - Yes.”

The fifth win for Royal Challengers Bengaluru kept them in seventh place in the IPL 2024 standings, but they are still alive in the race to make the playoffs. Meanwhile, the defeat for Punjab Kings confirmed that they will not be finishing in the top four of the points table.
