The rivalry between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) always delivers spicy moments to the Indian Premier League (IPL) fans but recently a cheerful incident happened when the batting legend Virat Kohli met an MS Dhoni fan wearing a CSK jersey. In the eighth match of IPL 2025, RCB bagged a massive 50-run win against Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. With this triumph, Bengaluru succeeded in breaching the Yellow Army’s fortress as it was the first win of the former at the latter’s home ground in 17 years.
After RCB’s sensational victory against the five-time IPL champions, Kohli threw a dinner party for his teammates at his popular restaurant One8 Commune in Bengaluru. When the 36-year-old was making way into the restaurant, he witnessed the fan and alluded to him. Kohli’s reaction amused everyone present at the venue.
Kohli and Rohit highly likely to retain their A+ grade contract
Despite retiring from T20 Internationals (T20I), Kohli and Team India captain Rohit Sharma are likely to get A+ contract from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the 2025-26 season. The highest grade contract helps both star players to draw INR 7 Crore annually.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shreyas Iyer, who played an instrumental role in India’s Champions Trophy 2025 victory, is also set to get the contract for the upcoming season. Axar Patel’s all-round performance has raised his chances of promotion in the list. Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan might not find a place in the central contract list for two consecutive years.
Before BCCI’s announcement for central contracts, Cricket Australia revealed India’s schedule for the Australia tour which will happen in late 2025. During the month of October-November, World Cup 2023 finalists will play three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and five T20 Internationals (T20I).
