Indian cricket team legend and former RCB skipper Virat Kohli termed the bond of Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan as the “Sita-Gita” of Indian cricket. Speaking at an event conducted by Puma on the sidelines of their encounter with MI, Kohli talked about the genuine and strong bond between the youngsters.

Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan hold a deep bond within themselves and the two are always seen together enjoying and teasing each other. Whether representing the country or playing for their respective franchises, the two never miss out on a chance to spend time with each other.

Referring to them as the best friends in Indian cricket, Kohli said the duo are inseparable and always go out together whenever the team tours outside India. He also said they both always come together whenever they are invited for anything.

On host Gaurav Kapoor’s question on strong friendship in Indian cricket, Kohli answered, “Sita-Gita, Ishan aur Shubman. Pata nahi kya chakkar hai bhai, main bol nahi sakta zyada cheezein lekin…Nahi Nahi, aisi koi baat nahi hai, dono bohot ache dost hain. Basically, voh akele nahi reh sakte tour pe. To khana khane bulalo, saath me aayenge, baat karne bulalo saath mein hi ayenge. Kabhi maine dekha hi nahi ki voh akele ho. Lekin genuinely, bohot ache dost hai.”

“Ishan and Shubman, I don’t know what’s their scene like. I can’t comment much but…No no, it’s nothing like that, they’re really good friends. Basically, they can’t stay alone on tours. If you invite them to eat, they’ll come together, invite them for a chat, they’ll come together only. I’ve never seen them alone and apart. But genuinely, they’re great friends.”

On the match front, Virat Kohli is all set to carry Royal Challengers Bengaluru again in their encounter with Mumbai Indians. The veteran stalwart currently holds the orange cup under his belt with 316 runs in just five games but hasn’t got the support from the other end throughout the season.

Mumbai Indians, who have won just one game in four matches will also look to place their campaign back on track against the pale bowling line-up of Bengaluru.
