India star Yuzvendra Chahal got into a hilarious batting mix-up with Mukesh Kumar when he walked out to bat during the first T20I against West Indies. The lower-middle order batters got into confusion when Kuldeep Yadav got clean bowled on the first ball of the 20th over of India's innings. During that time the Indian side were in need of 10 runs from five deliveries to clinch the victory.
After Yadav, India’s star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal stepped into bat for the side. However, while the 33-year-old was halfway through the pitch, he was called back by the team as it looked like the team wanted debutant Mukesh Kumar to bat instead.

As Kumar was about to step onto the field, the umpires intervened and stopped the batters’ swap. According to rulebooks, the swap couldn’t take place as Chahal had already entered the field of play and was deemed as the next batter for the Indian side. The comedy of errors on the Hardik Pandya side left the viewers confused, and the video of the same went viral on social media in no time.
