With the mega auction coming closer, there have been several speculations about which players the franchise will retain for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025. The teams have been given a deadline of October 31 to submit the final list of their retained players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, the one player who is in talks ahead of the mega event is the former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni.
There hasn’t been any confirmation whether Dhoni will play in IPL 2025 or not. However, with the new retention rules set by the BCCI for IPL 2025, CSK can still retain Dhoni as an uncapped Indian cricketer as the wicketkeeper hasn’t played any international game since 2019. The fans are also excited to see Dhoni take the field for CSK for one more time in IPL 2025 and end his glorious IPL career with a sixth title.
