Team India’s Super fan from Afghanistan Wazhma Ayoubi extended her wishes on India’s win in a lopsided Asia Cup 2023 final. Ayoubi, an Afghan cricket fan, went viral on social media during the tournament as she extended her wishes to Rohit Sharma and Co. after their win over Pakistan in the Super Fours game. It is to be noted that India defeated Sri Lanka in a one-sided affair after they successfully chased the target of 51 runs.
Ayoubi had gone viral on social media as she had donned India’s jersey in a picture, she posted on Twitter to congratulate the Indian team. As the Men in Blue went on to win their eighth Asia Cup after defeating Sri Lanka on September 17, Sunday, Ayoubi once again caught everyone’s eyes by wishing the winners.
As the Asia Cup 2023 final coincided with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Ayoubi tweeted that the victory is the best birthday gift for the PM. The Dubai-based model and business owner tweeted, “Congratulations team Bharat, what a birthday gift for Sri Modi Ji @PMOIndia Congratulations to all Fans all around the world”
Speaking of the game, the highly anticipated summit clash turned out to be a lopsided affair, all thanks to Mohammed Siraj's magic. The Indian pacer clinched six wickets in the match, helping his side lift the Asia Cup after five years. His brilliant heroics, along with Hardik Pandya’s three-wicket haul restricted their counterparts at a total of 50 runs.
