On Wednesday, September 18, Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketing superstar, took to his official X account (formerly Twitter), to send out a series of three one-word posts, namely, “Kindness,” “Chivalry,” and “Respect,” in just one hour, sending the social media platform into a complete meltdown. While the fans tried to understand these one-word posts, they were treated by Virat Kohli with a new promo of his fashion brand “Wrogn” exactly two hours later, wherein he talked about the importance of husband-wife relationship, and how India is changing for the better in regard to it, connecting the dots to his posts from earlier in the day.
Virat Kohli is married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, and they are parents to Vamika, their three-year-old daughter, and son Akaay, who was born in February of this year. The couple is looked upon as the one to emulate by many in India in recent years with their love and adulation for each other on full display on social media and elsewhere, which Virat Kohli alluded to, in his latest promo clip for his fashion brand “Wrogn.”
Am I the only one noticing the change in India?: Virat Kohli
In a 50-second clip posted on his official X account, the former India captain, Virat Kohli, compared how husbands and wives are now more kind, chivalrous, and respectful to each other, in comparison to the past. He captioned the post, “Calling all men, women, boys and girls. I don't know how many of you will agree with me. But tell me what you think. Am I the only one noticing the change in India?”
Moreover, in just a day’s time, Virat Kohli is slated to take the field for India in the first Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This will kick-start a period of nearly four months in which the Indian cricket team will be playing 10 Test matches, five at home and five away, to determine whether they make the World Test Championship (WTC) final thrice in a row next year.
Virat Kohli hasn’t played in any matches in domestic cricket in the build-up to the Test series, which could make it difficult for him to get into his batting rhythm in the early stages of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
