The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 is just six matches away to reach its semi-final stage with teams currently battling in the Super 8s stage. Australia and India are leading Group 1 with a win each in their first game while West Indies overtook England  to clinch the second spot in Group 2 with their dominant win against the USA.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8: India vs Bangladesh

India will take on Bangladesh in the Super 8 Group 1 match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team arrived at this stage of the tournament after putting up a dominating performance in their group, winning three matches while one of them ended in a no result. Meanwhile, Bangladesh have been quite impressive in the T20 World Cup 2024 thus far, winning three out of four in the group to find themselves in the Super 8, but they lost their previous match to Australia by 28 runs via the DLS method. India and Bangladesh will square off on Saturday at 08:00 p.m. IST.

South Africa hold nerve against England to keep winning run intact

Quinton de Kock (65 off 38) and David Miller (43 off 28) played a sensational innings to help South Africa put 163 runs on the board at a loss of six wickets. Jofra Archer, who gave away 21 runs in his first over, ended with three wickets at 40 runs in his 4 overs. During the chase, England lost their first four wickets at 61 runs, however, Harry Brook (53 off 37) and Liam Livingstone (33 off 17) kept their side in the game. England needed 25 runs in the last three overs, however, Livingstone's wicket again took England on the back foot. Brook lost his wicket on the first ball of the final over and the Three Lions lost the match by seven runs.

Roston Chase, Shai Hope guide West Indies to dominating victory over USA

Roston Chase and Andre Russell picked up three wickets each to bowl out the USA at 128 runs in their Super 8s Group 2 clash on Saturday morning. During the chase, West Indies opener Shai Hope smashed 82 off 39 with eight sixes and four boundaries while Nicholas Pooran added 27 off 12 with three sixes and a four. West Indies chased the target in 10.5 overs after losing just one wicket to boost their net run rate and secure the top spot in Group 2.

India to tour South Africa for four-match T20I series in November 2024; schedule announced

Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have confirmed the scheduling of the T20 International (T20I) series, which will see India travelling to South Africa in November 2024. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly decided to sack players from their central contracts after the side got knocked out from the T20 World Cup 2024 in the group stage. The PCB has undergone several major changes in recent months and after three chairmen have been replaced, the governing body has decided to sack players from central contracts after their below-par performance in the tournament. According to PTI, the Mohsin Khan-led body has planned to terminate the contracts of the players who didn’t perform well this season.
