Former Olympic skater Alexandra Paul dies in horrific car accident

Former Olympic figure skater Alexandra Paul lost her life in a fatal car accident. The Olympian was with her 10-month-old son when she was involved in a seven-car crash. An out-of-control truck crashed through a construction zone and went directly into the queue of waiting cars in Melancthon Township in Ontario. 

The 31-year-old lost her life, but her toddler son survived the accident and was immediately sent to a nearby local children’s hospital to be treated. Paul drew curtains on her professional skating career in 2016; before that, she represented Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics. 

Neeraj Chopra wins India’s first-ever gold medal in World Athletics Championships history

The ‘Golden Boy’ Neeraj Chopra continued to dominate in his javelin throw event as he clinched India’s first-ever gold medal at the World Athletics Championships.  Coming after a small injury lay-off, Chopra continued his top form to etch history and become the first track and field player to win a gold with a throw of 88.17m. 

Speaking of the men’s 4x400 m relay race team, the Indian quartet that stood second in the qualifying finished fifth in the final race. On the other hand, Parul Chaudhary shattered 3000m steeplechase national record and also sealed her berth for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The ball was passed a couple of times after that, and Jayden Bogle saw the chance and scored a stunner to equalise in the 85th minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Saudi Pro League brings 650% growth in broadcast revenue: Reports

The Saudi Pro League has worked hard over the past year to establish broadcast agreements with foreign media groups and bring in new sponsors. The process started after Ronaldo became the first big name to move to Saudi Arabia. 

In an interview with Bloomberg, Carlo Nohra, the chief operations officer of the Saudi Pro League, claimed that the broadcast revenue has surged by 650 percent since Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo joined the league after mid-season exit from Manchester United in 2022.
