Indonesia’s teenage bowler Rohmalia Rohmalia broke the world record as she picked up seven wickets without conceding zero runs. With this, Rohmalia registered the best bowling figures in all T20Is, men’s and women’s. The 17-year-old bowler achieved the bowling figures in the fifth match of a bilateral T20I series against Mongolia in Bali.

Rohmalia, who made her debut in the game, bowled 20 dot balls and scalped seven batters for ducks to make the world record. With this, she not only shattered the previous record held by Netherlands’ Frederique Overdijk but also etched her side’s name in cricket history. Needless to say, her incredible figures of 3.2-3-0-7 are now a benchmark of excellence.

Rohmalia is now the third bowler to take seven wickets in a women’s T20I game after Argentina’s Alison Stocks (7 for 3) and Netherlands’ Federique Overdijk (7 for 3). With her heroics, Indonesia registered an easy win over their counterparts after Indonesia made 151 runs and bowled Mongolia out for a mere 24 runs.

Speaking of the game, Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini contributed a total of 61 runs off 44 balls to guide the score beyond the 150-run mark with the loss of five wickets.
