Swastik Chikara is a young and talented cricketer who plays for Uttar Pradesh. The opener recently made headlines by scoring a brilliant century off just 57 balls in the Uttar Pradesh T20 tournament. Playing for Rinku Singh’s Meerut Mavericks, Chikara opened the inning and smashed the Kanpur Superstars bowling lineup all over the place. Kolkata Knight Riders star Rinku Singh came in and supported well from the other end, scoring 42 off just 22 balls to guide them to a healthy total of 204.

Chikara first came into the limelight in 2019 when he scored 585 runs in 167 balls at a local tournament. On the basis of this fiery inning by 16-year-old opener Swastik Chikara, his team also set a world record by scoring 704 runs. Chikara was also selected to represent Uttar Pradesh U25 at the Col CK Nayudu Trophy in January this year, where he scored a decent 371 runs in six matches with an average of 53.00. Uttar Pradesh bowed out of the tournament in the quarterfinals against Punjab, losing by an innings and 16 runs.
