On Friday, March 28, five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in IPL 2025. Although both teams are coming off a win in their respective matches, they will be vying to go-out and grab two more points under their name tonight.
For the unversed, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and elected to bowl first. After inviting the visitors to put the score first on the board, Gaikwad was asked of the team combination. The young Indian batter revealed a change in the side as he confirmed Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana replaces Nathan Ellis after the former missed the opening match due to an injury.
Pathirana in for Ellis; Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes in place of Rasikh Dar Salam
“We are going to bowl first. I think it will play slightly better than the last game. So far there hasn't been any dew, we don't know when the dew will arrive and it is not in our control. There are areas; we were sitting behind in the field and would like to be more aggressive, batting wise we can be more clinical. We have just got one change - Pathirana comes back for Ellis,” Ruturaj Gaikwad said.
On the other hand, RCB also called in for a change in their XI as Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns in place of Rasikh Dar Salam. “It is one of the biggest games in the league because of the fans it makes it fun and exciting. One change - Bhuvi comes in for Rasikh,” RCB skipper Rajat Patidar said.
