On March 30, in the second match of double-header IPL 2025 Sunday, the inaugural title winner, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are hosting five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at their second home venue, the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. While the Royals are coming after back-to-back losses, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side are coming off a loss, where they went down against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at their own den.

For the unversed, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and elected to field first. Soon after going with his call, Ruturaj reiterated on making a turnaround and get back to winning ways. When asked of the team combination, Gaikwad also confirmed two changes in their lineup.

Jamie Overton in for Sam Curran; Vijay Shankar replaces Deepak Hooda for CSK vs RR

The Yellow Army called in for two changes in their lineup as Sam Curran made way for Jamie Overton after the latter’s poor outing in the two matches so far for CSK. Furthermore, in another change, they opted to go with Vijay Shankar in place of Deepak Hooda.

“We will bowl first. Looks a good wicket, better than the last game that was played here so we'll look to chase. So far so good, it was a quick turnaround, very little time for us but that's how the IPL is. We have to be ready. We have come here for the first time as a franchise, good to see all the love we've got. Two changes, Jamie Overton comes in for Sam Curran and Vijay Shankar for Deepak Hooda,” gaikwad said. On the other hand, the Riyan Parag-led RR went with the same XI.
