The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue are currently locking horns against Sri Lanka in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Dasun Shanaka-led side won the toss and elected to bat first as they will aim to level the series with one more game to go.

What was shocking to everyone was that Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal did not take the field in the ongoing ODI. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) then took to Twitter to talk about the spinner's absence. The BCCI said that Chahal was unavailable for selection due to a sore right shoulder. The 32-year-old did not have the best outing in the opening ODI of the series as he ended the day with the figures of 10-0-58-1.

For the ongoing second ODI, India has gone with a like-for-like replacement in Kuldeep Yadav.
