West Indies batting lineup had a reasonably decent batting effort during the third T20I at the Providence Stadium. Brandon King pushed the scoring rate forward in the powerplay, while the captain Rovman Powell finished off the innings in style for the Men in Maroon, after they were slowed down somewhat in the middle overs, due to the impressive bowling from the opposition spinners. While defending the 159-run score, the West Indies fast bowlers had a great start in the powerplay with a couple of wickets, but then, they were nowhere near their best, allowing the visitors to chase the target with ease.
Meanwhile, the Indian batting performance got boosted with a Suryakumar Yadav special, who put together a sparkling 83 off just 44 deliveries, which included 10 fours and four maximums. He got tremendous support from Tilak Varma, his Mumbai Indians teammate, who played a key role in steering Team India to help them register their first T20I win in the five-match series. Earlier in the day, Kuldeep Yadav picked up three crucial wickets for Men in Blue in the middle overs, to put a decisive halt in the West Indies batting innings.
