Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s club career has been in a downward spiral ever since the icon left Serie A giants Juventus in 2021. After their recent loss against Al-Hilal, the Al-Nassr forward made an obscene gesture toward the Al-Hilal fans, which is considered illegal in Saudi Arabia.
The 38-year-old Portuguese star appeared to be angered by the Messi chants made by the Al-Hilal fans throughout the match. The intention behind this action of the football icon remains uncertain but a prominent lawyer has registered a case against him.
The reputable lawyer and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law advisor, Nouf bin Ahmed said that she has begun the move for Ronaldo’s arrest and deportation after his gesture during the Saudi Pro League encounter. It all happened when Al-Nassr suffered a 2-0 defeat to their bitter rivals Al-Hilal in the SPL title race. Ronaldo, while walking off the King Fahd International Stadium grabbed his genitals in reaction to Lionel Messi chants by the Al-Hilal fans.

Nouf bin Ahmed said that she will submit a petition to the Public Ministry of Saudi Arabia regarding Ronaldo’s arrest and deportation. She said, “I don’t follow sports. Even if the crowd provoked Ronaldo, he didn’t know how to react. Cristiano’s behaviour is a crime.” She further added, “An indecent public act, which is one of the crimes that allows for arrest and deportation if committed by a foreigner. We will present a petition to the Public Ministry regarding the issue.”
With the loss, Al-Nassr fell six points behind the league leaders, Al-Ittihad, who have played a game less. Cristiano's side will next face Al-Wehda in the King Cup semi-final, which seems to be the only chance for the club to win silverware this season.
