The Men in Blue are taking on England in the second Test of the five-match series in Visakhapatnam. While the hosts trail the series 0-1 after a heartbreaking loss in the opening Test, the Rohit Sharma-led side currently stands far ahead of the Three Lions at lunch on Day 3 of second Test.

However, the hosts have some misses in Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli , the latter’s availability in the remainder of the series still remains under cloud. Speaking on Virat Kohli’s availability for the third Test in Rajkot, a BCCI source told PTI, “Family comes first as BCCI’s press release stated and Virat will only play if he feels that he is in a position to play.”
However, reports also reveal that the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee of the top brass of the BCCI will speak to Kohli to get a clear picture on his position to resume national duties.
It is to be noted that Virat Kohli after being named in the squad for the first two Tests, withdrew from the squad citing “personal reasons.” “Virat has spoken to captain Rohit Sharma, the team management and the selectors and has emphasized that while representing the country has always been his top priority, certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention,” BCCI further informed urging privacy during these times.
However, his close friend and former RCB teammate, AB de Villiers in his recent interaction revealed that Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child. “Yes, his second child is on the way. It’s family time”, ABD said. He further revealed that all is fine and trying to spend time with family.
“All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that’s the reason for missing the first few Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else, unfortunately. But I would love to see him back. I cannot wait to see him back ….. But he is fine, he is happy,” AB de Villiers said in his YouTube channel.
