Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz will miss the next week’s Wimbledon tune-up event at the Queen’s club in London with an elbow issue, the 19-year-old confirmed on Wednesday. The Spaniard informed about his unavailability through a tweet.

“As u all know, I was super excited to play at @QueensTennis but a slight elbow issue means I can't! I hope to be there in 2023... see u all in the UK in a few days!” tweeted Carlos Alcaraz.

Carlos Alcaraz, who has taken the tennis world by storm this year, reached the quarter-finals at the French Open last month, becoming the youngest player in 29 years to reach two Grand Slam quarter-finals after also making the U.S. Open last eight. The teenager, who won back-to-back titles in Barcelona and Madrid on clay, will look to continue his good form on grass ahead of Wimbledon which begins on June 27.

After Nadal and Djokovic, Alcaraz can face Roger Federer

It looks like Carlos Alcaraz is living a dream life as he can be facing Roger Federer after Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. As both Alcaraz and Federer will be appearing at the ATP 500 Swiss Indoors in Basel later this year, there is a possibility the 19-year-old gets to play against Federer. It might also be possible that he gets to record a win against Federer.

In the case, Carlos Alcaraz will have a win against the big three of Tennis, Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer in the same year. As Alcaraz has already scripted history by defeating Nadal and Djokovic in back-to-back matches at the Madrid Open, he will have the golden opportunity to make a clean sweep on the Big 3.
