India’s youngest world champion in Chess, D Gukesh has been getting a lot of praise from some renowned names and became a nationwide sensation after he won the World Chess championship in Singapore on December 12, 2024. Recently, the young chess prodigy got a chance to meet South Indian superstar Rajnikanth in Chennai. Gukesh was with his parents when he met Rajnikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai.
Gukesh shared a post on his social media where he can be seen posing with his parents and Rajnikanth holding a book and a shawl which was given to him as an honour by the South Indian superstar. He captioned the post “Thanks Superstar @rajinikanth sir for your warm wishes and inviting ,spending time and sharing your wisdom with us.”
Gukesh gets wrist watch as gift from Sivakarthikeyan
Along with Ranjikanth, D Gukesh also got a chance to meet another South Indian actor Sivakarthikeyan, who was recently seen in a lead role in Amaran. Gukesh and his parents visited Sivakarthikeyan at his office and spent some quality time with a renowned Tamil actor. As a gesture, Sivakarthikeyan also presented Gukesh with a wrist watch making this meeting more special. Notably, Sivakarthikeyan is Gukesh’s favourite actor as reported by India Today.
D Gukesh also thanked Sivakarthikeyan for his hospitality with a post on social media with a caption “Had a great time with Sivakarthikeyan sir and he was kind enough to spend time with me and my family despite his busy schedule and enjoyed a lot!”
D Gukesh has been getting praises from all over India for his heroics in the World Chess championship in Singapore. He defeated China’s Ding Liren in a thrilling finale that kept the fans at the edge of their seat.
