Delhi Capitals had a disastrous start while chasing a target of 210 runs against Lucknow Super Giants in the fourth match of IPL 2025 in Visakhapatnam. In the very first over of the innings, DC lost two wickets as Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel went back to the pavilion with Shardul Thakur taking both the wickets. Notably, Thakur went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction last year. However, he came in LSG as a replacement for injured Mohsin Khan with just a few days left for the start of the tournament.
Batting first, LSG posted 209/8 in their 20 overs, with Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran smashing fiery fifties. Marsh scored 72 runs off 36 balls with six fours and six sixes, while Pooran smashed 70 off 35 balls, hitting six fours and seven sixes. After that, David Miller gave finishing touches with 27*(19) runs as LSG crossed the 200-run mark.
