MS Dhoni, the former India captain, is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and they started the season with a comfortable win over big rivals Mumbai Indians (MI). Amidst the blockbuster matches of the IPL, a short clip of MS Dhoni has gone viral on social media platform X wherein he was spotted having a sit-down podcast interview with internet personality Raj Shamani, which is presumably set to air on the Dhoni app.
In the 42-second long video shared by social media aggregator Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) on X, MS Dhoni was seen giving candid details about his personal life as Raj Shamani asked him questions one after another. In one of the instances on the podcast, MS Dhoni spoke about following the same schedule religiously for years before pointing out that it is the reason why he didn’t have insecurity in his life.

Dhoni app is about giving that extra to the fans: MS Dhoni
The short clip ended with MS Dhoni pointing out how the Dhoni app “is about giving that extra to the fans, letting them know about what’s going on in my life a bit more”. It is interesting to note that the viral video on the social media platform X hasn’t been released by either MS Dhoni or Raj Shamani on any of their official social media accounts as of this writing.
Moreover, a news report had come out last year wherein it was revealed that MS Dhoni had signed a multi-year exclusive deal with Single.id, which is a payments-linked offers platform, for launching a brand new fan app called “Dhoni”. The CEO of Enigmatic Smile, Bish Smeir, spoke about it back then, and said, as per True Scoop, “We are thrilled to unveil Dhoni. It will serve as an incredible platform for MS Dhoni’s fans and for them to engage with their icon in an unprecedented way.”
“Fans will be able to follow MSD, find out what’s happening next; before anyone else, collect 7% cashback rewards all over India, and claim free Dhoni merchandise too. I encourage you all to join the waiting list now,” he added.
