Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player in IPL history when Rajasthan Royals bought him for INR 1.1 Crore at just 13 years and 243 days in the IPL 2025 mega auction. He made his debut in the Ranji Trophy at 12, one of the youngest to play First-Class cricket. The 13-year-old impressed coach Rahul Dravid during Rajasthan Royals trials. Recently, he scored a century in cricket, hitting 104 off 62 balls in a Youth Test against Australia.
2. Allah Ghazanfar (15 years, 161 days)
Allah Ghazanfar was only 15 years and 161 days old when he entered the IPL 2023 auction but didn’t get picked. In 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders bought him as a replacement for Mujeeb-ur-Rahman. In the IPL 2025 auction, Mumbai Indians signed him for INR 4.80 Crore. There are very high chances that he will make it into the Mumbai Indians XI as their leading spinner.

Prayas Ray Barman was just 16 when Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for INR 1.5 Crore in the IPL 2019 auction. He became one of the youngest players to get an IPL contract. He made his debut against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 31, 2019, becoming the youngest player to play in an IPL match.
