The Indian tennis star Yuki Bhambri once again was under the limelight after he clinched his maiden ATP doubles title on Saturday, July 1. The 30-year-old Indian tennis player clinched the doubles title at the Mallorca Championships in Spain with his South African partner Lloyd Harris.

The Indian - South African pair defeated the Dutch - Austrian pair of Robine Hasse and Philipp Oswald 6-3, 6-4 in the final match of the Mallorca Open 2023. The India star now moves to 58 in the ATP Doubles Rankings after his winning forehand brought celebrations in Mallorca.

The 30-year-old opened up on his win at the Mallorca Open. “It’s incredible to win the tournament on grass. Winning without dropping even one set on grass is unheard of in doubles,” Bhambri told PTI.

It is to be noted that the Indian athlete entered the warm-up event to Wimbledon 2023 at ranked 75 and has now jumped 17 ranks to move to his career best of 58. The 30-year-old will now look to continue his winning run in the Wimbledon alongside his Indian partner Saketh Myneni.
