Tigers of Kolkata were crowned the champions of the inaugural edition of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024 as they beat Majhi Mumba in the final at Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane.
In the clash that took place at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai skipper Yogesh Penkar won the toss and invited the rivals to field first.
There will be a total of six teams, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Srinagar, and Kolkata competing in a 19-match long tournament.
Ahead of the opening clash, a special ‘Exhibition Match’ will be played where Sachin Tendulkar’s Master XI will face off against Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi XI.
ISPL is scheduled to begin with the tournament opener between Srinagar Ke Veer and Majihi Mumbai on Wednesday, March 6.
India’s first-ever tennis-ball T10 tournament is slated to take place from March 6-15, 2024 with all the matches being played in Thane.
