In the 2023 edition of the Metro Bank One Day Cup, the young batter appeared in four matches, where on an average of 143, he scored 429 runs with a strike rate of 152, before suffering a knee injury.

Prithvi Shaw suffered Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) injury in his left knee, while fielding for Northamptonshire against Durham during Metro Bank One Day Cup 2023 fixture.

It is to be further added that Shaw is the leading run-scorer in the tournament with 429 runs across four innings.
