After a disappointing IPL 2023 season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad took a radical approach and made significant changes in their team and coaching staff. Hyderabad brought New Zealand legend and Australian assistant coach, Daniel Vettori as the head coach. SRH also replaced their IPL 2023 captain, Aiden Markram with Pat Cummins, who led Australia to the WTC and ODI World Cup titles in 2023.
Cummins was also made the second-most expensive player to be bought in IPL auction history as SRH shelled out a massive sum of INR 20.50 crore. Building on these performances, Sharma carried this form in the Indian domestic T20 league – Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by scoring 485 runs at a 48.5 average and a strike rate of 192.46. One of the biggest names in the auction, Travis Head from Australia will be a vital cog in the SRH lineup for the 2024 season. Though, he hasn’t lit up T20 cricket across 2023 and 2024 with a tally of 345 runs in 12 matches. Aiden Markram
The former Sunrisers Hyderabad, Aiden Markram has been a great player for the Orange army with his 629 runs in 27 matches. He had a quiet IPL but in 2023 he scored 1077 runs in 34 innings. Markram also continued this form in the SA20 2024 where he smashed 339 runs in 12 innings and led Sunrisers Eastern Cape to their second consecutive title.

Heinrich Klaasen
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s best batter from IPL 2023, Heinrich Klaasen will be another vital cog in the 2024 season. Playing in the lower-middle order, Klassen scored 448 runs in 12 matches and continued this form in the ODI World Cup and then in the recent SA20. With a lot of new faces coming into the time, SRH will want Klassen to continue this form and help the side make a playoff run.

Mayank Agarwal
Last but not least, SRH hopes Mayank Agarwal to find form in IPL 2024. Despite having a sub-par 2023 in the Indian domestic, Agarwal has scored 2597 runs in 123 matches in his IPL career. He had a decent run in the Ranji Trophy 2024 with a tally of 468 runs in 12 innings with a highest score of 114. Hence SRH will need Agarwal to take his game to the next level and play a crucial role in their top-order.
