Kho Kho is a traditional Indian game having its roots dating back to Mahabharata. Although it took some time for the game to get recognition, it is now getting massive attention with the first Kho Kho league officially announced. Ultimate Kho Kho Season 1 is all set to kick off on August 14 with as many as six teams taking part in the inaugural edition.
Mumbai Khiladis, Gujarat Giants, Chennai Quick Guns, Rajasthan Warriors, Odisha Juggernauts, and Telugu Yoddhas are the six teams for Ultimate Kho Kho season 1. These six teams will battle out over a period of 18 days to decide the first Kho Kho champion of the country.
Mumbai Khiladis and Gujarat Giants will take on each other in the opening fixture of the league on 14 August followed by a match between Chennai Quick Guns and Telugu Yoddhas later that day. A total of 30 games followed by four playoff matches will be played in the first season.
