If there is one player who has taken the Legends League Cricket by storm on Day 1, it has to be Irfan Pathan! Following his heroics in Road Safety World Series last year, the all-rounder continued from where he left as he displayed his magical skills in Oman.
It all started with his bowling as he took 2 wickets in his very first over, dismissing Mohammad Hafeez and Mohammad Yousuf. He eventually finished with impressive bowling figures of 4-0-22-2 on a day when the other bowlers found it extremely difficult to stop the flow of runs.

After his bowling, the all-rounder showed his class on the field. In the final over of the innings being bowled by Manpreet Gony, Misbah-ul-Haq was looking in destructive form. Having already hit 2 consecutive sixes, the Asia Lions skipper was trying to complete a hattrick but he mistimed the shot. Although it looked like the ball would fall between the fielders running and a couple of runs would see Misbah back on strike, Irfan had other plans!
Against all odds, the 37-year-old ran quickly towards the ball, kept his eyes on it and showed tremendous athleticism as he completed a sensational catch, leaving everyone in shock. The stadium erupted in joy as fans were left in awe of Irfan's magical effort. His celebrations afterwards summed up a perfect moment for cricket lovers.
