The players on the field and fans across the globe were shocked by the sequence of events and were extremely worried about how the footballer fell down without any contact from the player.
Eriksen looked conscious while leaving the field
As everyone was worried about the health status of Eriksen, one of the photos captured by a cameraman actually provided very positive news to all the fans across the world. In the image, the 29-year-old looked conscious with his head up, eyes open and his hands on his head. It was an indicator that the midfielder could well be on his way to recovery very soon.
Eriksen has been hospitalized and is stable, confirms UEFA
UEFA released an official statement after the match had been suspended and confirmed that Eriksen has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilized. The Danish FA also confirmed that the player is awake and is having further examination at the hospital. The final decision on the match will be communicated very soon.
